Back in Manila, I’ve signed up for a couple of surveys since 2010. Most of the time, I was screened out, maybe because I was in the Philippines and most surveys are for North America, Australia or the UK. When we migrated to Vancouver, I edited my profile and updated my address to my Canadian address. I am getting more survey invitations in my inbox now and 3 out of 5 times, I am qualified to answer the surveys.
Since we landed, I have gotten 3 checks already and more than a dozen gift cards from answering surveys. Disclaimer though, this will NOT be a big amount that you can quit your full-time job and just do this for a living, it does add up though and it’ll be a good “allowance” to save up for a rainy day. I normally do the survey whenever I’m doing my website migration, in between loads of laundry or waiting for my son to come out of his class, etc. Might as well do something useful during the lull time right? 🙂
Here are some of the survey companies that I’ve signed up for:
Global Test Market – This is the very first survey that I’ve signed up for back in Manila, one of my complaint before was that they changed their policy with regards to the checks that they are issuing. My very first check with them was converted into peso so it was easy to just deposit it, now it’s only in US or Canadian dollars. But since I am now in Canada, no problem with depositing the check 🙂

SurveyLion – No minimum cashout! The first check I got from them was just $9, lol. I was just trying it out if I could cash out and clicked redeem and it didn’t asked me for a confirmation, a message just popped out and said to just wait for the check to arrive, it did after a few weeks 🙂
Frequency of surveys sent: 1/5
System: Dollar equivalent
Ways to redeem: Cash through cheque (by mail)

Swagbucks – Swagbucks is a little bit different from list, it offer surveys as well as special offers, watch videos and games that you can play in return for “swagbucks” (points). There are tons of opportunity to earn swagbucks but it is too overwhelming for me to check it out everyday. I think people with more idle time on their hands will find this site quite entertaining though.

Some survey companies accept international members, even if you are not based in Canada, you might want to check them out and see if your country is listed. 🙂 Have fun answering! 🙂
